PunkRobot Studio
PunkRobot Studio is a Chilean animation studio founded in 2008 in Santiago by Antonia Herrera, Gabriel Osorio, Mari Soto-Aguilar, and Patricio Escala. With a focus on creating original and visually striking content, they have developed projects for television, advertising, and cinema. Their most recognized work is the short film Bear Story (2014), which in 2016 became the first Latin American short film to win an Oscar in the category of Best Animated Short Film.
Among their notable productions are the children's series Flipos (2010), The Adventures of Muelín and Perlita (2013), Guitar and Drum (2018), and Wow Lisa (2021). They have also participated in international projects like the short film In the Stars (2023) for the second season of Star Wars: Visions, which received the Quirino Award for Best Commissioned Work in 2024. PunkRobot continues to establish itself as a benchmark in Latin American animation, combining emotive storytelling with technical excellence.
