Robert Lawson
Robert Lawson (1892-1957) was an American writer and illustrator, known for his contributions to children's literature. He was educated at the University of Massachusetts and developed a prolific career that spanned both writing and illustration. Lawson gained recognition for his detailed style and his ability to capture the essence of his characters.

Among his most notable works are "The Little Train of Wishes" (1934) and "Ben and Me" (1939), which he co-wrote with author and journalist Robert Burch. Additionally, he was the illustrator for Munro Leaf's "The Story of Ferdinand." His work earned him numerous awards, including the Caldecott Medal in 1945 for his illustration of "The Wind in the Willows" (1939). His legacy continues in the world of children's literature.
