Sergio Aguirre
He was born in Córdoba in 1961. As a psychologist, he was in charge of coordinating the Literary Workshop at the Neuropsychiatric Hospital of his city. In 1996, with the story Los perros, he won the First Prize in the “Memory for Human Rights” contest. In 1997, he received the same distinction at the National Literary Contest “60th Anniversary of the Death of Horacio Quiroga”, for his story Corregir en una noche, while for La venganza de la vaca, his first novel, he received the Accésit of the Latin American Prize for Children and Youth Literature Norma-Fundalectura 1998.
