William Ospina
William Ospina Buitrago (Herveo, Tolima, 1954) is a Colombian poet, essayist, and novelist, known for his deep reflection on history and Latin American identity. His work spans poetry, essays, and novels, standing out for its lyrical style and commitment to cultural and social themes. He has been awarded the National Poetry Prize by the Colombian Institute of Culture in 1992 for El país del viento and the Rómulo Gallegos Prize in 2009 for his novel El país de la canela.
