Yamila Huerta Serrano
Chilean-Argentine writer, born in 1975, in Mendoza, Argentina, but daughter of Chilean parents and has lived almost her entire life in Chile
She is a writer by vocation, whose love for letters oscillates between the medieval fantasy genre and science fiction. She is a journalist, a state-certified teacher in Spanish, and holds a Master's in Linguistics from Usach. Additionally, she works as a higher education teacher. Her interest in always learning more led her to study other fields that fuel her creativity, such as dubbing, voice acting, and jewelry making
She is also the CEO of her own venture, Golden Phoenix Publishing
She is the screenwriter of the comic "Diary of a Troubadour" (2015), a prequel to the novel "The Beggar of Karmaf" (2017). Her first steps were four online soap operas, titled "Blood and Sword" (medieval fantasy), ¡Decade! (realistic), "Eternity" (fantasy), and "Allegretto" (realistic), all published on Fotech.cl, but currently in the process of rewriting
She also participated in the digital publication "Illustrated Gothic Tales in 500 Words", a book associated with the event "Black Cloak", with the story "The Man in the Top Hat" and the poem "Black Roses", in 2015
She was also an editor, journalist, and interviewer for LDP Magazine, where she published several stories between 2013 and 2014, including "When Pegasuses Fly Again", "The Spring Storm", "The Conquest of Gime", along with the reissue of "Blood and Sword"
In 2020, she participated with the story "The Beach" in "Covic-19 CFCh, sci-fi anthology in times of pandemic", published by Sietch editions, a collaborative work with writers from Alciff (Chilean Association of Science Fiction and Fantasy)
Currently, she continues to develop the world of Karmaf for comic and novel formats, as well as several ideas in process related to science fiction, fantasy, and horror.
