Synopsis "An Infinite Name"

Who is Manuel? A conqueror of worlds and a mute witness to eternity. A failed writer and the ghost who finishes his story. A dying man who becomes a bookcase, a healer who longs for death, the last soul awake on a sleeping Earth. In these stories, Manuel is everyone and no one-a name passed from hand to hand across dreams, curses, and impossible afterlives. Between them, brief "ideas for a fantastic story" flicker like sparks: Ariadne meets Penelope, Plato goes viral, a bullfighter is lost in the Minotaur's maze.By turns philosophical, darkly funny, and quietly devastating, An Infinite Name maps the burden of consciousness and the strange mercy of an ending-the one thing, perhaps, that no one has ever been promised.
