In 1795, three boys found a depression in the ground on a small island off Nova Scotia. Two hundred and thirty years, six lives and several fortunes later, nobody has reached the bottom of it. This book uncovers the truth and discovers that the answer was never underground. It was written in a field of boulders that has sat in plain sight for two centuries, in a night sky eight hundred years out of date, and in a page of cipher the world had already dismissed as a forgery.
