Dr. Anne Hogsett is the Director of Hospital Medicine at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center in Coffeyville, Kansas. In March of 2016, Josh Umholtz, the publisher of the newspapers in both Coffeyville and Independence, Kansas (The Coffeyville Journal and The Independence Daily Reporter) asked Dr. Anne to make a volunteer contribution to the health of the region by writing a weekly column in which she would answer any questions submitted by the newspapers' readers. The column ran for 53 weeks in 2016 and part of 2017. So many people were asking for copies of previous columns that Dr. Anne decided to put all 53 columns in book form. Dr. Anne would like to remind everyone that as we continue to study, our understanding of medicine will change AND medical recommendations will change accordingly. Now that this book is finished, Dr. Anne is hoping to get started again. So, if you have more questions, send them in and then pick up the following week's newspaper to get your answers!
