What happens when a child begins seeing what everyone else has learned to ignore? In a river village beneath the Philippine sky, Amaya notices things others dismiss: birds abandoning familiar groves, strange movements in the water, shadows where no one stands, and signs that something is deeply wrong. At first, the disturbances seem small. Then the forest changes. The river rises without warning. Crops begin to fail. Dreams fill with cracked earth and silent skies. And the spirits connected to the land no longer seem to trust the people who depend upon them. But the hidden reason the village is suffering may reach far beyond one broken promise.Amaya's unusual ability to see and listen to the unseen world draws her into a journey through rivers, forests, mountains, ancestral places, and finally toward Kaluwalhatian the sacred realm associated with Bathala, the ancient Creator and guardian of cosmic order.Along the way, she encounters the mysterious powers of the Tagalog spiritual world, including Mayari, Tala, Hanan, Apolaki, Lakapati or Ikapati, and other remembered beings whose stories connect the heavens, earth, fertility, seasons, love, and human life. But Amaya is about to discover something most heroes never expect: The crisis cannot be solved by one chosen person.Inside these pages, you will discover: The hidden warning beneath an ordinary river and why the first signs of danger are so easy for a community to overlook.A child who can see beyond the ordinary and the difficult lesson that seeing a spirit does not necessarily mean understanding it.The mysterious realm of Kaluwalhatian and a vision of Bathala that reaches beyond the image of a distant ruler. The forgotten agreement that helped unravel the village's balance and the deeper disturbance waiting beyond it.The gods and spirits who do not all agree because the greatest danger may not be an enemy at all, but a world in which every being begins protecting only its own interests.Bathala's unexpected answer to a world in crisis why the Creator does not simply erase every wound with a miracle, and what humanity must do instead. The deeper meaning of restoration where repairing a river, protecting a forest, honoring ancestors, and remembering old stories become part of the same responsibility.Bathala: Sky Father and the Tagalog Pantheon is a mythic journey through creation, spirits, ancestors, divine powers, and the fragile relationship between humanity and the living world. It is a story about what happens when people forget that a gift can also be a responsibility. And beneath the same sky, Amaya must learn a truth that will change everything: Sometimes saving the world begins not with power but with learning how to listen.
