Doreen Virtue (born Doreen Hannan, California, 1958) is an American author initially associated with the New Age realm. A clinically trained psychologist, she gained fame from the mid-1990s with over fifty books on angels, spiritual healing, archangels, and esotericism, as well as oracles and oracle cards. Among her most notable works are The Lightworker’s Way: Awakening Your Spiritual Power to Know and Heal (1997), Healing with the Angels (1998), Archangels & Ascended Masters (2003), The Crystal Children (2003), and Angel Numbers 101. These works mostly belong to the spiritual guide and New Age genre, with a special focus on angelic communication and subtle energy

In 2017, Virtue underwent a religious conversion to evangelical Christianity and publicly renounced her previous beliefs, even going so far as to withdraw or disavow her New Age works. Since then, she has been dedicated to spreading her new faith and warning against the spiritual practices she once promoted.
