Although painful, in leaving their marriages, the two release their spouses from inherent hurt that would undoubtedly be caused due to their unfaithful acts. In their leaving, the spouses were released from deception and afforded an opportunity to find and experience the love they both deserved. Through a bad situation, David and Renee come together as one with a new found sense and belief in true love and commitment.
