Coal Dust - Randall James

A heart-stopping, pulsating dystopian thriller!

2095 - Former supermodel Crystal Lennox is prime minister of Greenlandia. Under the draconian reign of her party, the Bloom, fossil fuels have been outlawed for decades, and the whole country relies on E-power and satellites. However, the Bloom have enemies at home and abroad, and nothing is as it seems.

2096 . When hypersonic missiles rain down on Greenlandia, Bailey Williams, Ethan Steele, and twenty of their grade-ten classmates race to their titanium bunker. And when their teacher, Mr. Douglas, goes missing, the students are left to survive on their own for a whole year - unable to communicate with the outside world.

While Bailey, Ethan and friends try to maintain stability and unity, sixteen-year-old troublemaker Rask has other ideas. And when a classmate gets pregnant and Phantasy party drugs are discovered, they are forced to act.

Can Bailey and Ethan prevent Rask’s clique from taking over? And what’s the secret that Bailey keeps close to her chest for the day when they’ll have to live above ground again - in a world devastated by war and nuclear winter?
