This research focused on the correlation between the study habits of the students and their performance in intermediate algebra. The respondents lived in a rural area which had an effect on their study habits because in most cases, they helped work in the field. They produce crops for food or for sale and this consumed their time for study. Good study habits are difficult to develop. In our competitive world, one must have a good background in Mathematics. Progress comes slowly without a good foundation in Mathematics.
