El libro no cuenta con introducción o estudios preeliminares, tampoco con notas explicativas a pie de pagina. No te dejes engañar por las ilustraciones de Gustave Dore, ya que solo cuenta con 4 ilustraciones, (un retrato de Dante, una escena del Infierno, Purgatorio y Paraíso).
