Synopsis "Eastern Steam Days Remembered"

Continuing the Steam Days Remembered series with Eastern Steam Days Remembered, Kevin Derrick takes us on a leisurely ramble back around both the Eastern and North Eastern regions during the 1950s and 1960s in this volume. Journeying towards the eastern counties of the Midlands and far beyond, this reproduction of the very best quality colour photographs from the 1950s and 1960s across the Eastern Region takes us back into that bygone, steam-laden era. Not only Gresley's Pacifics, but a full supporting cast of steam from other illustrious designers including Thompson and Peppercorn are all to be enjoyed, along with a fine collection of Standards and pre-grouping locomotives along with visiting engines from other regions. Locations seen in this volume include: Kings Cross, Peterborough, Leeds, Newcastle, York, Darlington, Doncaster and Stratford among many others.
