The town housed George Washington, nursed wounded soldiers during the War for Independence, and served as a major supply depot for the Continental Army. Fishkill has grown tremendously from an 18th-century colonial village to a factory and mill town in the 1800s to a modern, yet scenic community filled with outlets for art, music, and entertainment. Fishkill Revisited captures the people, such as Enoch Crosby and James F.
