Synopsis "Gravedigger's Moon"

There's no alternative for Benjamin Holt-to save his successful legal career he has to locate a deceased client's sole heir. The client was well known and rich, wealthy enough to spark a media frenzy should word of a long-lost heir become public knowledge. Only Holt and the senior partners at his law firm are currently aware of the situation. The partners blame Holt for mishandling the estate and won't be happy without a prompt and satisfactory resolution of the inheritance issue. They send him to Phoenix, Arizona to chase down the last of the dwindling leads. With his wife scheduled for surgery and their six-year-old son needing reassurance, Holt plans on heading back home to Newport Beach as soon as possible. Family obligations come first, but a meeting in Arizona with a prospective informant named Alan Kane forces a change in priorities. Kane knows who Holt is looking for. He hatches a scheme to exploit Holt's good intentions and steal the inheritance through a deadly game of identity theft. Holt continues his search across two states in a journey misdirected by murder and deceit. He reaches the point of no return in the Sonoran Desert, where the bodies are buried, where he finds more to worry about than losing his job.
