Synopsis "Grumps"

The story follows a day in the life of Arthur Pickering, a former army man who now serves as a dedicated school crossing patrolman. Better known as Grumps, Arthur has little patience for careless motorists, bad manners, bullies, or anyone else who earns a place in his little black book. Shopkeepers and others who have crossed him know all too well the consequences of Arthur's own distinctive form of retribution. Drivers go out of their way to avoid him, while shopkeepers tremble when they see him approaching. Arthur is not vindictive, but his mischievous sense of humour means he rarely lets an opportunity pass him by.
