Synopsis "Hauptausschuß (in German)"

Am 1. September 1948 konstituierte sich in Bonn der Parlamentarische Rat. In sechs Fachausschüssen wurden die einzelnen Abschnitte des Grundgesetzes beraten, doch erst im Hauptausschuss wurden die manchmal auch widersprüchlichen Entwürfe zu einem gesamten, homogenen Grundgesetzentwurf zusammengefasst. Schon zeitgenössisch fand der Hauptausschuss zu Recht das besondere Interesse, denn als einziger Ausschuss des Parlamentarischen Rates tagte er bei Anwesenheit von Pressevertretern und Vertretern der westlichen Alliierten. Auch deswegen wurden hier - anders als in den Fachausschüssen - insbesondere die parteipolitisch gegensätzlichen Auffassungen zur Geltung gebracht.
