Synopsis "In Shadowside"

Madison only ever thought of herself as unremarkably different, a square peg surrounded by round holes. After the death of a beloved family member, she finds herself faced with the opportunity of a lifetime. Only she doesn't know how truly unique the experience will be. A lot of girls go away from home to attend college, but most of them stay in this plane of existence. Most girls don't further their education at schools where the mascot is a vampire. Most girls don't have a half-vamp for a roommate nor do most girls attend classes with things that go bump in the night. Madison didn't need another reason to be set her apart from "most girls", but she got it. She quickly discovers there's more to her family tree than meets the eye and that perhaps she never had a real chance of being 'just like everyone else'. As if leaving everything familiar behind wasn't enough, now Madison also has to worry about her growing feelings for Joshua Ravenheart and the complications a relationship with him could start. Secrets and lies surround both Joshua's past and hers as well. Dare she unfold the mystery of not only herself but of the two of them together?
