मोहम्मद इक़बाल (जन्म- 9 नवम्बर, 1877, सियालकोट, पंजाब, ब्रिटिश भारत; मृत्यु- 21 अप्रैल, 1938) एक आधुनिक भारतीय प्रसिद्ध मुसलमान कवि थे। इक़बाल ने अपनी अधिकांश रचनाएँ फ़ारसी में की हैं। "सारे जहाँ से अच्छा हिन्दोस्तां हमारा" यह मशहूर गीत इक़बाल का ही लिखा हुआ है। इसके अलावा इनकी बेहद मशहूर रचनाओं में "लब पे आती है दुआ बन के तमन्ना मेरी" और "शिक़वा" तथा "जवाबे-ए-शिक़वा" शामिल हैं।इसके अलावा इनकी बेहद मशहूर रचनाओं में "लब पे आती है दुआ बन के तमन्ना मेरी" और "शिक़वा" तथा "जवाबे-ए-शिक़वा" शामिल हैं। इन्हें उर्दू साहित्य का सबसे खास शख्स माना जाता है, हालांकि उर्दू के साथ-साथ ये फारसी और अंग्रेजी भाषा में भी पारंगत थे। इक़बाल को शायरी का शौक़ स्कूली जीवन में ही हो गया था और वह अपनी रचनाएं उस समय के नामी शाइर उस्ताद 'दाग़' के पास संशोधन के लिए भेजा करते थे।.
