Synopsis "Jacinth. Setting the Stage"

Welcome back! I see you need to scratch that itch and find out what is currently going on in your favorite Midwest town: Emerald! I say, "currently" meaning the latter part of 2003 and all of 2004.
I know you have already heard about some of the things taking place. The business district got a makeover with the addition of a second story. Really changed the look of the place. The grocery store was turned over to the next generation and Anita (Emerald) Collins introduced her bookstore to the town. It was part of the transition.
But other things happened as well, and we are going to cover those stories in Jacinth.
In 2003 Patty Hermann graduated from UNI. But instead of starting a career, in she didn't know what, she decided to get her master's now instead of later, get it over with. She stays in the Cedar Falls area. Patty works in a lounge, doing what she did all those summers back home. She was a barmaid at The Dock. The next year would change her life.
You will also meet Shwan Ebling. AS the story begins he is dating Lelaine. They have been dating off and on over the last few years. Shawn graduated from UNI a few years back and really hasn't found his niche in life. Still searching.
And that's all we are going to tell you right now. But expect all kinds of changes to take place as it often does in that town people journey to and seldom leave. It is that nice!
As I said, Welcome back to Emeerald.
