Kim, huérfano de un soldado irlandés, Kimball O’Hara, al servicio de la Corona de Inglaterra, hereda como único patrimonio tres documentos de los que no debe separarse bajo ningún concepto: la partida de nacimiento, las recomendaciones para ser aceptado en el ejército británico y en la logia masónica. Dividido entre el sentimiento de afecto y fidelidad que le une al lama y la necesidad de acción, este viaje se convertirá para Kim en una misión secreta que le llevará a trabajar como espía al servicio del espionaje británico en el famoso “Gran Juego” que enfrenta a Rusia y Gran Bretaña. Bombay, (1865-1936). Rudyard Kipling wrote novels, poems, and stories mainly set in India and Burma during the British rule. Kipling was a prolific and popular writer, and his literature always revolves around three axes: patriotism, the duty of the English to lead a life of intense activity, and the destiny of England, called to be a great empire. His insistence on this last aspect was undoubtedly an echo of the Victorian past, and severely damaged his reputation as a writer, despite being the first British author awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.

Estuve buscando durante mucho tiempo este libro y finalmente apareció en Buscalibre. El libro llegó en muy buenas condiciones aunque venía con un pequeño detalle: una página estaba cortada en una esquina y se perdía algo de texto; afortunadamente la esquina faltante venía en el mismo libro. Fuera de eso, ningún problema. Excelente servicio de Buscalibre. Muy recomendable.
