Eran los mismos estudiantes que habían abandonado su tierra natal a causa de la sequía y el hambre. Pese a ello lograron su objetivo de estudiar en la Universidad, pero querían regresar como miembros de una gran expedición científica. Se creían descendientes de antiguos reinos. Para cumplir con dicha tarea tuvieron que sortear muchas dificultades con la finalidad de investigar. Cuando las cosas iban mal se encomendaban a las ánimas de sus antepasados muertos. Estaban convencidos que sus linajes era de una raza fuerte y longeva. Pero esto no los liberó de toda suerte de dificultades, en su camino se encontraron con descendientes de los españoles que aún quedaban en sus tierras. Finalmente no les quedó otra alternativa que compartir con ellos todo, sus costumbres, tierras y amores.
