Koga Shin'ichi, born on August 18, 1936 in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is a renowned mangaka specializing in the horror genre, often from a female perspective. He debuted at 21 with the short story Black Cat and reached his greatest success with Eko Eko Azarak (1976-1979), a black magic manga that inspired film, television, and animated adaptations since 1995.

Among his notable works are Noroi no Kao ga Chichichi to Mata Yobu (1967), Byakui no Dorakyura (1967), and Kobito ga Shi wo Utau (1969), all within the horror genre. Another notable work is Yôchû (1975), a collection of short horror stories.
