Hitler intentó tomar el poder mediante un golpe de Estado fallido, por el que fue condenado a cinco años de prisión. Durante su estancia en la cárcel, redactó la primera parte de su libro Mi lucha (en alemán, Mein Kampf), en la que expone su ideología junto con elementos autobiográficos. Liberado ocho meses después, en 1924, Hitler obtuvo creciente apoyo popular mediante la exaltación del antisemitismo, sirviéndose de su oratoria, apoyado por la propaganda nazi y las concentraciones de masas.

Adolf Hitler (Braunau am Inn, Austria-Hungary, April 20, 1889 - Berlin, Germany, April 30, 1945) was the leader of the Nazi movement and eventually became the dictator of Germany. He gained power and popularity during the years of the Great Depression thanks to his propagandistic oratory until he rose as the ultimate political leader during the Third Reich.

The expansionist cravings of the Führer were the cause of the start of World War II with the invasion of Poland. Along with other Axis powers, such as Mussolini's Italy, he annexed much of Europe and North Africa. His racism and antisemitism led him to order terrible ethnic cleansings in concentration and extermination camps like Auschwitz in what is known as the Holocaust. Although several assassination attempts were made against Hitler, it would take his suicide in his bunker, when the Soviet troops took Berlin in 1945 and Germany conceded defeat in World War II.

La edición está muy mal cuidada. Son frecuentes los errores ortográficos (falta de letras) y de palabras que hacen que las oraciones no tengan sentido. Esto se aprecia desde el inicio del libro. Voy recién en la página 100 y estos errores aparecen frecuentemente. Estos defectos gravísimos hacen que la elección de esta edición haya sido un error.
