Synopsis "my life and dancing"

This vintage book is Maud Allen's 1908 memoirs, "My Life and Dancing". Maud Allen was a Canadian musician, actor, dancer, and choreographer. Famous for her impressionistic dancing and controversial career, Maud Allen has a fascinating story to tell that will interest those with a penchant for the dramatic arts. "My Life and Dancing" will also be of particular interest to young girls wishing to begin a career in dancing. Contents include: "Childhood", "Memories", "Student Days and Travels", "The Human Bod My Instrument", "My Weimar Days", "Two Friends--My Debut", "Stepping Stones", "London--England's Queen", "Criticisms and Letters", "A Word About Women", and "Salomé". Many vintage books such as this are increasingly scarce and expensive. We are republishing this volume now in an affordable, modern edition complete with a specially commissioned new introduction on dance.
