Synopsis "On Edge"

The poignant but encouraging story of an ambitious young migrant who is torn between family obligations, social life and an odyssey to rewrite his destiny. Born in revolutionary Iran, after being tortured severely he has to escape due to his political and religious ideas leaving half the family behind. As a fugitive with a half-understood life in which his two children are kidnapped, he strives with agony for justice and with an ailing body he is on the verge of ending his life as he sees the futility of his life-long struggle to put in corrections wherever the unfair wheel of fortune has made mistakes. But endurance overcomes.This is the true story of suffering in three generations and how a courageous nonconformist man is shattered into pieces by a cruel life. Does this mean he must comply and silently accept his lot? Or keep fighting back with a "bare bodkin"? Is there no third possibility of coming to terms with one's fate? How?
