Synopsis "Paranoia (in Spanish)"

En 1932, después de haber publicado en seguidilla dos libros: Ajedrez (cuentos, 1929) y En la ciudad he perdido una novela (novela, 1930), Humberto Salvador lanza Taza de té. El libro reúne 16 textos, algunos se publicaron en revistas de la época. Un caso particular, por su temática, tratamiento y extensión, es Paranoia; sin duda se trata de una nouvelle no planificada, de ahí su contundencia. Creemos que este texto supera el formato del cuento, y que es una novela breve muy a pesar del mismo autor. Paranoia bien podría ser parte de cualquier antología de la novela corta ecuatoriana y latinoamericana del siglo XX.
