Synopsis "Rancour"

Inspired by true events; Rancour is a tale of oppression and resistance. Set in a fictional, futuristic London, that has been utterly corrupted by its own citizens. Now ruled under the regime of a psychotic dictator and an ever expanding group of terrorists, who are dressed as animals, wearing wooden masks. Post nuclear explosion, London is now an unrecognisable City. In a chillingly believable oppressive world, Rancour is barely surviving in a small cottage, outside the skirts of the City, avoiding reality. He is soon disrupted by the arrival of 'M', a young woman, brave and determined to return to the 'Ruins' to find her sister Nicola and bring down the terrorists. Rancour must stand for his beliefs and choose if he will hide away in the outskirts of the City or fight for London's freedom. A frightening and powerful tale of the loss of freedom, this groundbreaking story both captures the possibilities of a new brutal reality, whilst bringing a deeper insight to our own human nature. Filled with chilling descriptions of an empty London, that contrasts dramatically with the utter chaos of the new underground society, in which humans have been brought down to by their own behaviour. Rancour will definitely leave its mark on the world.
