Synopsis "Room 7"

Leah Morgan takes a job at Oakhaven Retirement Community expecting a quiet, predictable year before moving on to her "real" life. She anticipates fragile residents and dull days. She couldn't be more wrong.Oakhaven is not a waiting room; it is a vibrant, chaotic, and deeply human world. There is Arthur, a retired boxer determined to master ballroom dancing; Evelyn, a former actress who still treats the common room like a Broadway stage; and Frank and Margaret, whose decades-long rivalry is actually a secret language of love. As Leah helps them navigate the complexities of aging, family estrangement, and unexpected romance, she realizes the residents are not the ones who need to be taught how to live-she is.Spanning one unforgettable year, Room 7:00 is a warm, funny, and profoundly moving story about the beauty of connection at any age. It is a reminder that growing older is not a closing chapter, but a bold, messy, and continuous adventure. Leah entered Oakhaven thinking she was just passing through; she soon discovers that she has found exactly where she belongs. Read more
