Synopsis "Saint Johnson / The Dark Command"

SAINT JOHNSONSaint Johnson is a thinly veiled story of the shootout at the OK Corral. Here we have Wayt Johnson and his brother Luther, two steely-eyed marshals in the boisterous town of Alkali. They are backed up by Brant White, a gambler with a penchant for shooting first and asking questions later. Jim Johnson, Wayt's younger brother, becomes involved with El Guero, a cold-blooded killer and foreman for the lawless Tods, and it's up to Wayt to keep order while keeping Jim on the right side of the law. If only the Tods and the Northrups hadn't kept riding him, things might not have got out of hand.THE DARK COMMANDThe Dark Command is the fictionalized story of William Quantrill, the infamous Confederate scourge of Kansas. Johnny Seton first meets Polk Cantrell when they become Ohio neighbors, but he's torn between his admiration for the man and his trepidation at Cantrell's cruel streak. Then Cantrell meets the love of Johnny's young life, Mary McCloud, and runs off with her, throwing Seton's life into total turmoil. Seton follows them to Kansas, where he discovers that Mary is now married to the rogue. Even worse, Cantrell has convinced everyone that is now an upstanding citizen. But Seton knows better.
