Synopsis "Secrets and Tides"

Lilea Flynn is restless. Born and raised in the Midwest, she moved to Seattle for college. But now school is long over and the daydreaming twenty-eight year old is starting to realize she's gone adrift. Her best friend lives thousands of miles away, her job is unsatisfying at best and her roommates are still in party mode. And nagging at the back of her mind is the fact that her brother and childhood companion, Alex, hasn't been heard from in years. Nature is her solace. She slips away to the beaches and woods as often as possible to be alone and take pictures. A captivating new show is hung in the gallery at work, and Lilea is intrigued by their handsome and kind creator, Hawthorne Locke. Maybe it's time to "get herself out there". But his goth girlfriend shows up at the opening and she couldn't be more Lilea's opposite. Strange things start happening to her, and her vivid and mysterious dreams tell her there could be so much more. How can she create a life that she desires, as wondrous as her dreams? Reconnect with Alex? Sometimes it takes a little magic...
