Synopsis "Soledades (in Spanish)"

Las Soledades iba a ser un poema dividido en cuatro partes, correspondientes cada una alegóricamente a una edad de la vida humana y a una estación del año, pero Góngora sólo compuso la dedicatoria al Duque de Béjar y las dos primeras. Las Soledades causaron un gran escándalo por su atrevimiento estético y su oscuridad. Sin embargo, con las Soledades, la lírica castellana se enriqueció con nuevos vocablos y nuevos y poderosos instrumentos expresivos, dejando la sintaxis más suelta y libre que hasta entonces.
