Synopsis "The Monster (in Spanish)"

Invierno de 1993. Un joven europeo aterriza en Nueva York siguiendo la estela de The Wooster Group y se instala en el Soho con el único objetivo de subir al escenario y convertirse en el nuevo Willem Dafoe. Su pasado es brumoso; al parecer, en algún momento estuvo en la Unión Soviética con su banda de rock. No tiene dinero ni dónde dormir, pero dispone de una lista de teléfonos. En uno de los números de la lista le responden, y entra así en un mundo paralelo recubierto de terciopelo y regido por unos extraños ritos. Su existencia neoyorquina se divide entonces en dos: durante el día se sienta en la sala de ensayo y observa; por la noche, para tener un techo sobre su cabeza, se entrega a unos juegos que no son solo sexuales. Ese desdoblamiento se apodera también de esta inquietante novela, que discurre entre la pesadilla y la reflexión, el arte y la vida, el sexo y la muerte.
