Synopsis "The Outbreak"

Vijay Pande, a former cop finds his younger brother Sekhar murdered in Pune. Sekhar who did a boring job at Vaccipro, a company that produced vaccines had no enemies that Vijay knew of. The entire police investigation reeks of a cover up. Meanwhile, Pune and several other Indian cities are facing an unusually severe and strange outbreak of chicken pox, not responding to usual antiviral medications. Sekhar's friend, Dia reveals that Sekhar was investigating some cases of chicken pox and that he was unhappy with some things at his work place. Vijay and Dia begin to unravel the mystery that shrouds this case, it becomes apparent that the rot runs all the way up into the echelons of power. Some extremely powerful people are determined to manufacture one of the deadliest viral outbreaks in the state and are not going to be easily stopped. More cold blooded murders, attacks and intimidation follow. Vijay's background as an ousted "encounter specialist", would come in handy to survive this onslaught. Dia's knowledge of microbes may help to solve the mystery behind the rogue vaccine that led to Sekhar's murder. But are an ousted former cop and a delicate female scientist good enough to protect the state from this deadly artificial viral outbreak?
