THE SAFE ROUTE - Elvin Vargas jr

Every parent trusts the map. Tonight, the map is choosing the children.

On Halloween night, Daniel Carter looks away from his twelve-year-old daughter for only a few seconds.

When he looks back, Lily is gone.

Her candy bucket is left behind. Her phone has vanished from the network. And the SafeRoute app-the Halloween safety app that was supposed to guide families through the neighborhood-now shows Lily moving toward an address that should not exist:

113 Hollow Lane.

Then something even worse happens.

Everyone begins forgetting Lily ever existed.

Her photographs change. Her bedroom disappears. Her mother no longer remembers giving birth to her. Police records show Daniel has no daughter at all.

But Daniel remembers.

And SafeRoute gives him until midnight to find her.

Following the impossible route takes Daniel beyond the end of Hollow Lane and into a hidden street filled with green porch lights, abandoned candy buckets, missing-child posters, and children who have been trick-or-treating for decades without growing older.

Each house has rules.

Each piece of candy steals a memory.

And every child is being led toward one final stop.

As Daniel searches for Lily, he uncovers a horrifying connection between Hollow Lane and his own childhood-a forgotten younger brother, a Halloween night erased from his past, and a man known only as Mr. Hollow who has spent generations turning lost children into forgotten ones.

Now Daniel must reach Lily before her final memory disappears.

Because after midnight, the route resets.

And once the world forgets your name, there may be no way home.

THE SAFE ROUTE is a fast-paced supernatural horror thriller about missing children, stolen memories, family, guilt, and a Halloween street that should never be found.
