Synopsis "The Silk Blanket"

The Silk Blanket is the astonishing true story of a four-generation family, who were part of the mass exodus from North Korea during the 1950 freezing winter of the Forgotten War. Jungjia's birth occurred during the harrowing refugee exodus from Pyongyang, North Korea, to South Korea.

A moving narrative of tragedy and loss, courage and freedom, suffering and victory, this captivating book is illuminated with the charm and humor that occurs even during the darkest of times. This moving story of family love will inspire readers until its soulful conclusion.

The illustrations which underline Jungjia's refugee experience form a vivid and unforgettable perspective were created jointly by Jungjia & Matt
