The kingdom of Reudinia has a new king - a traitor who has allied himself with the power-hungry spirit of the Sense Thief, Kazimir, and assumed the crown. Now that the deadly spirit has been released, Faven and her labyrinth-surviving companions find themselves once again avoiding danger at every turn. Not only are they being pursued by a talented bounty hunter, who is gifted with a dangerous yet familiar sense, but they're also being framed for everything - even the deaths of those they had to leave behind in the labyrinth.

While the Traitor is busy stripping senses from every royal he happens across, he becomes increasingly aware of the challenge before him. The longer Kazimir is in him, the harder it is to restrain him and the harder it is to accomplish his own goal. However, when Kazimir offers him a dangerous solution - one that will increase knowledge, expand power, and conquer the magical world - the Traitor wonders if he's already gone too far to turn back now. 

Because no one - not even the Traitor - knows what Kazimir is truly after.
