The Turtle Pit tells the story of a baby box turtle who is always getting in troubles. Rowdy B. continually ignores Mama Turtles warnings which lead to him having to pay a price for his mistake. Rowdy B. has many friends who try to keep him out of trouble. His brothers and sisters roam the fields with him, while feasting on the wild strawberries. The Turtle Pit written by Barbara Winningham tells the touching story of Rowdy B. a funny box turtle that is always trying to find something to eat. He plays and sleeps in the fields by the watery streams. Filled with vivid, easy to follow, colorful illustrations.
