This is just one story of the thousands of our veterans who are searching for help, and for many reasons are unable to find the help they need. I would love to say this writing has all the answers, but unfortunately it does not. We live in a very complex society and a not so perfect system that these warriors have to navigate through. Along with fighting to push their own pride aside and acknowledging their need for help. Many often hide in the shadows of life not feeling good enough to accept or deserve anything good that comes their way. One of the consequences of the acts that they have seen or committed. These warriors feel they have transgressed against their own good conscience, or they're very soul. Without any help this often lead to a potential life of isolation, alcoholism or drugs. This is their way of numbing the pain. The good news is there’s help for those who will seek it.
