Lincoln Child is an American author born on October 13, 1957 in Westport, Connecticut. He is known for his thriller and techno-thriller novels, many of them co-written with Douglas Preston. Before turning to writing, he worked as an editor at St. Martin's Press, where he founded the horror division of the publishing house. Later, he served as a systems analyst at MetLife until his first novel, "The Relic" (1995), written with Preston, allowed him to dedicate himself full-time to literature.

Among his most notable works are "The Cabinet of Curiosities" (2002) and "Dance of Death" (2005), both co-written with Preston and belonging to the thriller genre. Additionally, he has developed the series starring Professor Jeremy Logan, which includes titles such as "The Forgotten Room" (2015). He is known for his suspense and techno-thriller novels, many of which are co-written with Lincoln Child. Before turning to writing, he worked as an editor at the American Museum of Natural History in New York and taught non-fiction writing at Princeton University. Additionally, he has contributed articles on archaeology and anthropology for The New Yorker magazine.
