Synopsis "Under Umbrellas"

Sometimes the life you planned isn't the one you get to live. Sometimes the pain of the past overshadows the future. Sometimes to start over you have to go back to where it all began. This was how Joe Masters ended up back in New Hope, thick in his thirties with nothing to show for his life. He needed a complete overhaul, just like his father's old house. Instead of a fast track, he had slowed down and was plodding through a ten year plan, which felt more his speed after his stormy relationship and bad break up. Maybe alone wasn't so bad. Maybe there would be sunshine in his future. Martha had weathered her fair share of storms in Vermont. Although accustomed to the cold, both the chill in the air and the cold shoulder in her marriage, left her feeling like she would never get warm again after her miscarriage. Martha's search for hope brought her to New Hope, South Carolina, a small southern town full of charm and character. So focused on the move, she never imagined her husband would trick her into leaving and never follow. Strong willed and determined, Martha decided to do more than survive, she'd thrive. Thrown together by chance, Martha and Joe would discover a connection neither prepared for, which would change everything. Inclement weather approached. Somehow, they had to find a way to survive together. After all... Life is full of storms and love means sharing an umbrella.
