Synopsis "structure of magic: volume 2"

These seminal works in neurolinguistic programming (NLP) help therapists understand how people create inner models of the world to represent their experience and guide their behavior. John Grinder is a linguist, author, and American trainer, known for being the co-creator of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) alongside Richard Bandler. He was born on January 10, 1940, in the United States. He earned his PhD in linguistics from the University of California, San Diego, specializing in transformational-generative grammar, influenced by the work of Noam Chomsky. Before dedicating himself to linguistics, he also had experience as an army officer and agent in military intelligence.

In the 1970s, Grinder was working as a university professor when he met Richard Bandler. Together they began to model the language and techniques of prominent therapists such as Virginia Satir and Milton Erickson. As a result of this collaboration, Neuro-Linguistic Programming emerged, and they co-wrote "The Structure of Magic" (1975), a foundational text that describes how language reflects and structures human experience.

Grinder contributed the scientific and linguistic rigor that allowed the formalization of the patterns observed by Bandler. Over time, he distanced himself from the commercial approach of NLP and promoted a more refined version, known as "New Code of NLP". Throughout his career, he has conducted international seminars and has continued to explore accelerated learning, communication, and personal excellence.

Richard Bandler is an author, psychologist, and American consultant, known for being one of the co-creators of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), a discipline that studies the relationship between language, neurology, and learned behavior patterns. He was born on February 24, 1950, in Teaneck, New Jersey, USA. He graduated in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of California at Santa Cruz and later obtained a master's degree in Psychology from San Francisco State University.

In the 1970s, Bandler collaborated with linguist John Grinder to develop NLP, based on modeling successful therapists such as Virginia Satir, Fritz Perls, and Milton Erickson. Together they published "The Structure of Magic" (1975), a fundamental work that introduced the principles of NLP and its focus on how people organize their subjective experience.

Throughout his career, Bandler has written numerous books and has offered seminars and international training, focused on personal change, effective communication, and human potential development. His innovative, often provocative style has influenced areas such as psychotherapy, coaching, education, and business. He is considered a key figure in the evolution of brief and result-oriented therapies.
